Telehealth for the Bay Area and Silicon Valley
Evaluations are held by secure video, so there is no commute across the bridge or down the peninsula and no waiting-room time. Adults in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Carlos, San Francisco, Oakland, and the surrounding communities join from a private space in California. This is a telehealth-only service for the Bay Area; there is no Bay Area office.
Looking for an ADHD test?
Many adults start by searching for an ADHD test. In practice, no single test diagnoses adult ADHD. A real evaluation is a structured developmental and symptom history, a look at how attention has functioned across your whole life, and a careful differential — because anxiety, depression, trauma, and bipolar disorder can all imitate or accompany ADHD. Read more about ADHD testing versus ADHD evaluation, and why a checklist is not a diagnosis.
Adults who were missed
Many capable adults — especially women and high-achieving professionals — were never identified as children because they compensated. In demanding, fast-moving workplaces, the exhaustion of holding it together is often what finally brings them in. We take that history seriously.
What happens during the evaluation
We review your history and current functioning, use validated rating scales as one input among several, screen for conditions that mimic or co-occur with ADHD, and arrive at an honest conclusion — whether or not that conclusion is ADHD. If it is, we build a treatment plan together.
Treatment, if it is indicated
Treatment may include medication, non-medication strategies, or both. If a stimulant is appropriate, we review safe use, check the prescription monitoring database, screen cardiovascular risk, and document the reasoning. The plan is collaborative and explained in plain terms.

Frequently asked questions
How long does an ADHD evaluation take?
The comprehensive adult ADHD evaluation is structured across two visits: a focused 75–90 minute diagnostic interview covering your developmental history, current functioning, prior diagnoses and treatment, and a medical review, followed by a dedicated feedback visit where you receive a written summary of the findings and recommendations. The structure is reviewed with you when you schedule.
Can I get an ADHD test online?
You can complete an ADHD evaluation online by secure video. No single test, scan, or blood draw diagnoses ADHD in adults; a computer-based attention test or a short quiz can be one piece of information but is not a diagnosis on its own. The evaluation is a clinical interview with developmental history, rating scales, and screening for conditions that look like ADHD.
Do you have an office in the Bay Area?
No. Visits are by secure video, and you join from a private space in California. There is no Bay Area office. Optional in-person visits are offered by request in Corona, in Southern California.
Can adults be diagnosed if they were never assessed as kids?
Yes. ADHD often goes unrecognized into adulthood, particularly in women and in high-functioning professionals. A developmental history is part of the evaluation.
Will I be prescribed a stimulant?
Only if it is clinically appropriate and after a careful evaluation that includes monitoring-database review and cardiovascular screening. Non-stimulant and non-medication options are also discussed.
